Active in the field of air freight transportation since 1947, Alitalia Cargo has always been an important part of the Alitalia Group development strategy.
It provides highly specialized and competitive air transportation and logistic services to a wide range of selected customers.
With a dedicated fleet composed of 5 MD11SFs and with the capacity of all passenger aircraft of the Group, Alitalia Cargo is specialized both on on-line traffics from/to Italy versus strategic markets such as North America, India, China, Japan and Africa and connecting flows.
Furthermore, thanks to partnerships with cargo specialists such as Nippon Cargo and Korean Air, Alitalia Cargo reinforces its presence in key markets such as Japan and Korea.
Focal point of the Alitalia Cargo network is the Milan Malpensa Hub which, with its strategic location, is a reference point for all European traffic and a perfect jumping off point for all intercontinental movements.
Alitalia Cargo also offers a wide network of Road Feeder Service destinations, both on the domestic and international sectors, and ensures scheduled and on-request connections to those destinations not covered directly by cargo flights.
Since 2001 Alitalia is an active member of Cargo 2000 with the aim of promoting the service quality along the entire routing for each shipment.
In August 2001, Alitalia Cargo joins SkyTeam Cargo, the world’s foremost air cargo alliance.
