Consortium
To set up the consortium, Alitalia has joined forces with other important Italian companies in the transport sector, such as the State Railway Group, Coeclerici, SEA Milan airports, Trieste Port Authority, Grimaldi Shipping Company and Alenia Aeronautica. Together they have set up the E.T.L. Consortium (European Transport Law) with the aim of promoting initiatives for training experts on the regulations governing European integration in the transport sector.
In particular, the E.T.L. Consortium organises post-graduate courses on EU business and transport law, as well as research and studies on European transport regulations in collaboration with several universities. All in all, the consortium is not only a study centre for industries and institutions but also a bridgehead for new professions which focus on interpreting and applying EU transport laws.
