 The Group’s domestic airline ATI (Aereo Trasporti Italiani) is set up in Naples on 3 June 1964. In 1965 the number of passengers exceeds three million and the Company serves its first hot meals onboard the DC-9/30s entering service that same year. In 1967, Alitalia moves from its original headquarters in Via Maresciallo Pilsudski to a new high-rise block in Rome’s EUR district.
