Key facts
1. Focusing the network on the main markets with destinations to and from Italy: United States, Canada, Japan, South America and the Mediterranean area.
2. Making Rome the natural gateway for traffic to Italy and the Mediterranean area.
3. Re-opening the former Rome-Los Angeles route (and perhaps also boosting the Brazil service for winter 2008).
4. Keeping Malpensa as a key airport for Alitalia passengers, with a network design which focuses on the needs of traffic from/to Milan for the first time. Malpensa will also be the focal point for cargo operations.
5. Creating a new marketing approach to firmly establish Alitalia’s link with Italy.
