Alitalia is one of Italy’s 'Superbrands', according to industry experts who monitor and measure the performance of international brands.
The award was presented for the second year running to the Italian airline at a glittering ceremony held last night at the Radio Italia Auditorium in Milan. The seal of excellence was assigned by the 'Superbrands Council' which assessed Alitalia's quality, reliability and distinctive identity. The 'Superbrands' status means Alitalia joins an elite group of outstanding brands that are benchmarks for millions of consumers.The accolade follows on from a major re-branding at Alitalia in the last year.

Alitalia began to update its image and brand in 2015 starting with a new livery to gives a fresh new look to the airline's fleet of aircraft.
This was followed by a brand programme that has included refurbished cabin interiors, stylish new uniforms for cabin crew and ground staff and a new lounge concept at airports called 'Casa Alitalia'.
