The winged arrow

The first Alitalia logo included the "Winged Arrow" as a symbol of speed.

Today the "Winged Arrow" remains a part of the Company heritage, as the symbol of customer loyalty identifying the most prestigious clubs of the MilleMiglia Program, dedicated to the best customers.

The stylized "A"

In 1969, the new company brand was designed, becoming over the years a true distinctive icon of Italianness.

The logo was easily remembered and immediately associated with Alitalia thanks to the strong visual impact of the stylized “A” with the colors of the Italian flag and the shape that perfectly fits the aircraft tail.

Dinamic restyling

In 2005, the logo was restyled slightly to make it more contemporary and give it a sense of dynamism, keeping, however, its full and immediate recognizability.

Even though the Alitalia brand is aesthetically typical of the 1960s, it has been able to create a clear identity, becoming a brand recognized worldwide.

A contemporary look

A classic contemporary look, a message of style. The tail has kept the traditional “A”, but its design, inspired by the lines of sports cars.

We have also redesigned the livery of our aircraft, but it is even more elegant. The fuselage, pearl-white color, adds a dash of style and sophistication, while the concept of speed is evoked in a refined way through a series of white lines extending as far as the vertical stabilizer.
