Joint Venture with Air France - KLM

The agreement provides for the generation of industrial synergies in various spheres, especially in the commercial one, allowing Alitalia to compete for a prominent position in the international markets and giving Air France and KLM a strong partner in the Italian market, fourth largest in size in Europe.

The partnership, based on a multi-hub strategy, enhances the offer of the Alitalia network to and from Rome Fiumicino and Milan Linate, in combination with that of Air France at Charles de Gaulle and KLM at Schiphol.
There are numerous advantages for customers. A large integrated network with broad coverage of the European market and an extensive choice of intercontinental destinations, service with high quality standards and a wide range of travel solutions at competitive fares.

The destinations served jointly by Alitalia and Air France KLM are constantly growing. Currently there are more then 700 weekly frequencies between Italy and France that connect 19 cities, 9 Italian airports served directly from Paris, 10 French airports reachable from Italy and 9 between Milan and the French capital.
The direct flights between Italy and the Netherlands involve 5 Italian airports and more than 170 weekly flights, with 8 daily frequencies for Amsterdam from Rome and 7 from Milan.

On the rest of the network, as of today, there are 86 destinations served by Alitalia via Paris or Amsterdam in codesharing with Air France and KLM.
At Rome Fiumicino, the customers of the three carriers can check-in at Alitalia's T-1 terminal using the Internet, self check-in kiosks or the check-in counters dedicated to Italy-France and Italy-Netherlands flights.

The partecipation of Alitalia to the Joint Venture will end next January 13, 2017.
